Current Health Freedom Issues at the Minnesota Capitol Minnesota Natural Health Legal Reform Project is your representative at the Minnesota Capitol, working to ensure your access to the healing modalities of your choice. Please support Minnesota Natural Health Legal Reform Project Health freedom work at the Capitol! MNHLRP IS YOUR VOICE FOR HEALTH FREEDOM AT THE MN CAPITOL. This year we have worked extremely hard to deal with a bill introduced to set up licensure (now changed to registration) for naturopathic doctors. MNHLRP is concerned because the language of the bill does not provide the clarity needed to ensure that traditional naturopaths and other natural health practitioners can continue to practice under MN Statute 146A. We believe that the bill, as introduced, would put other unlicensed health care practitioners in jeopardy. We have mounted a focused effort, using contracted lobbying services. In addition, health freedom volunteer activists from MNHLRP have really gone the extra mile, and you at the grass-roots level have also helped - THANK YOU for all of your calls, emails and faxes that have been pouring into legislative offices. All this combined is having an effect. Legislators have taken note, and we are making significant progress. Desired amendments we are promoting will protect access to 146A practitioners, if they become adopted. But we cannot succeed without our lobbyist presence at the Capitol, and this requires funding. TO CONTINUE THIS EFFORT AND SUCCESSFULLY PROTECT YOUR HEALTH FREEDOM, WE NEED YOUR IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.
We are working hard to defend your right to access the healing practitioner of your choice, and the right to practice the healing arts. Simultaneously, we are dealing with bills that: prohibit unlicensed practitioners under 146A from receiving compensation from Workman's Compensation; exempt unlicensed CAM employees and volunteers in hospitals and hospices from needing to give out a Client Bill of Rights; and changes in the 146A prohibitions about engaging in sexual contact with a complementary and alternative health care client or former client. MNHLRP is working to spearhead the effort, and contract with a good lobbyist. But we cannot continue to do this work if we have no more funding for lobbying services. We are rising to this challenge with a lot of hard work. Please do your part by providing the finances needed to meet the challenge. Your donations will ensure that the work can continue. Please send your donations to: MNHLRP, PO Box 315, Rosemount, MN, 55068. Please do it today! Be aware that because your donation will be used to contract for lobbying services, it is not tax deductible for charitable purposes. Sincerely, The Minnesota Natural Health Legal Reform Project is a 501[c]4 non-profit political action organization. | ||
